MESISIC (Anti-corruption OAS): 4th evaluation round

In the context of the Organization of American States, in 1996 the States adopted the Inter-American Convention against Corruption. This Convention has a Follow-Up Mechanism for its Implementation (MESICIC), in order to evaluate how the States are fulfilling their obligations.

In the fourth round of analysis, through a questionnaire distributed in 2011, they analyzed the implementation of the articles of the Convention regarding the oversight bodies with a view to implementing modern mechanisms for preventing, detecting, punishing and eradicating corrupt acts (art. III, paragraph 9).
