On November 5, 2015, we organized in Santa Fe a Seminar on “Economic crime and criminal policy”. It was a joint effort between CIPCE, the National University of the Littoral, and the Public Prosecution of Santa Fe, with the institutional support of the Federal Public Prosecution. This activity was organized in the context of the Second National Meeting of Prosecution Units Specialized in Economic Crime.
The Seminar started with some opening words by representatives of the three organizer institutions: Julio De Olazábal, Attorney General from the Public Prosecution of Santa Fe, Javier Francisco Aga, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences at the National University of the Littoral, and Agustín Carrara, CIPCE’s Executive Director.
After that, there were different panels: the current state of the prosecution of economic crime in Arrgentina, the role of specialized prosecution units and the current experiences, and the role of oversight bodies and control organisms.
The speakers were Jorge C. Baclini, Nicolás Macchione, Sebastián R. Narvaja, Diego Gamba and Ricardo Eskenazi.
At the end of the day, the professionals and students that attended the seminar received their certificates.
