In the context of the Organization of American States, in 1996 the States adopted the Inter-American Convention against Corruption. This Convention has a Follow-Up Mechanism for its Implementation (MESICIC), in order to evaluate how the States are fulfilling their obligations.
In the fifth round of analysis, through a questionnaire distributed in 2015, they analyze the implementation of the recommendation from the Second Roud, and the implementation of the articles of the Convention regarding paragraphs 3 and 12 from art. III (Preventive Measures).
