This is an article written by Pedro Biscay, member of CIPCE’s Directive Committe, entitled “Criminal Justice and the control of economic crime and corruption. Experiences in Argentina”. It was published in the law journal “Judicial Systems”, in the edition number 11, from 2006.
Here, the author analyses the link between the Government, the Justice and corruption, and he explains the research carried out by CIPCE in its beginning, in order to create a database containing corruption and economic crime cases. Biscay shows data regarding the main crimes detected, the times and delays in the judicial investigations, and some problems detected in these investigations, as well as possible strategies to prevent and prosecute these crimes.
